The Lockdown Blues

Trapped

Trapped

It’s not a prison, I’m free

As long as I stay inside

or in my garden cus I’m lucky

there’s nowhere else to hide

It’s for the best they tell us

so that lots of people don’t die

but millions of us are suffering

it makes me want to cry

How long will this go on for?

3 weeks they say for now

And then we can go out again

But I don’t think so somehow

No pubs, no clubs, no cinema

No gyms, no parks, no fun

They’ve even banned open spaces

Thank goodness for the sun

So when this is all over

And they’ve ended all this pain

I’m going to live life to the full

And never stay in again!
